Choral Workshop
Come and enjoy a week of music making and learning at Princeton University in Princeton, NJ with Simon Carrington, co-founder of the King’s Singers. Our aim is to make great choral music bringing together musicians from various walks of life. The workshop is open to choral directors, church musicians, music teachers, professional singers, choral conducting students and experienced choral amateurs aged 16 years and over, with good sight-reading skills. This 6-day workshop will culminate in a public performance of Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem Op.9 in the Princeton University Chapel at The Princeton Festival. Click here for all the details Piano Competition The Princeton Festival invites young musicians, ages 6 to 24, to enter its piano competition The 2009 Princeton Festival Midsummer Magic, Dreams and Deception: two exciting weeks in June of opera, musical theater, chamber music, jazz, a choral workshop and concert, a piano competition, lectures, and film. The highlight of the Festival is the Benjamin Britten opera Midsummer Night's Dream, described by New York Times chief music critic Anthony Tomassini as "an astonishing masterpiece".
